Based on the market demand and the salaries that are offered after attaining the certifications, following certifications seem to be taking the top slot:

The certification is offered by Project Management Institute(PMI) and the PMP certification helps in demonstrating seasoned knowledge and expert experience with Project Management tools and concepts.

ITIL is an abbreviation for Information Technology Infrastructure Library. The ITIL certification has been designed and developed to exhibit knowledge in IT service-support and IT service-delivery. The new hot certification is gaining momentum which started originally in the UK.

CISSP stands for Certified Information Systems Security Professional(CISSP) and a certification for CISSP from ISC helps one earn excellent remuneration. This is considered the Holy Grail of Security Certifications.

MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solution Developer) certification is another program which pays considerably good salary in the market and I would rate at number 6.

CCNP i.e. Cisco Certified Network professional certification is number 7 in this list of highest paying IT certifications.

(Microsoft Certified IT Professional/Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist)

This is the newest Microsoft Certification that will currently replace the MCSE certification as the most popular computer certification in the world. The RGCE or Red Hat Certified Engineer and Sun Solaris Unix are another two certifications that fetches good value in the employment market.

Apart from this, there are some very good certifications which fetch equally good salary and earn good reputation in the IT market. However, since this is only the top 10 list, I have not included them.
